Abstract

This article inicially presents a detailed analysis of the metric-dramatic structure of the two extant autograph autos sacramentales by Lope de Vega, Obras son amores and Las hazañas del segundo David. Departing from some considerations about the structural organization of these two texts, mainly using Lope’s polimetry as a guiding tool, this article focuses in its second part on evaluating the segmentation marks that we find in the holographic texts. Our goal is to find out the meaning of the lines that Lope systematically used to divide different blocks in the dramatic action of his plays.
